Mohammad Abbas, an experienced Ph.D. with a demonstrated history of working in business development and higher education industry. Skilled in data analysis, research, science, public speaking, and team management. He is an assistant professor at the Department of Natural Sciences at University and a Remote Researcher at the University of Heidelberg.

Founder of the Cosmic Dome which aims at creating public awareness in astronomical science in the MENA region. The Cosmic Dome also designs, rents, and sells customized large event domes or planetariums.

For the past 10 years, he worked on the formation history of the Milky Way using variable stars such as RR Lyrae stars. After finding the latter stars, distances are calculated and maps of the Milky Way are plotted. This enhances our understanding of galaxies in general.

Aside from becoming an astronaut, he also dreams of setting up a space museum that would be state-owned in Lebanon.
