Emilio Sassine is an assistant professor at university. He worked and managed several projects in the region, including his major works with UNRWA related to habitat and energy specialization, GIS analysis and weather station installation.

He has tons of publications. The most recent one is the Experimental determination of thermal properties of a brick wall of existing construction in the north of France - Journal of Building Engineering Vol. 14, pp. 15-23, November 2017.

Aside from academic studies, he is also into extreme sports.

He believes that he has what it takes to become an astronaut. He has the academic background and physical health required of astronauts.
